Celebrating National Women’s Small Business Month

DENVER, CO – September 26, 2019: On Thursday, October 10, SHE Leads Group will be hosting their first annual SHE – Supporting Heart & Enterprise™ Women’s Business Expo & Networking Event at Koelbel Library in Centennial from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is open to anyone and is geared toward supporting women who juggle two full-time jobs - one as care giver to loved ones and one as being full-time business owner or career woman.  The letters S H E stand for Supporting Heart & Enterprise™. The “Heart” is our families and the “Enterprise” is our business or career. This is a very different group of women that will be gathering.

The event focuses on providing women with access to quality, reputable exhibitors who have been vetted through the SHE Leads Group vetting process. Additionally, there will be personal and professional development trainers that attendees will have access to during breakout sessions. One of our four training topics will be how women can achieve a work/life balance presented by Jasmyne Kettwick, Executive Director and Therapist of Relate Family Therapy. Another topic will be providing attendees with tips on time management and productivity by Mary Gaul, President of Success Magnified. There will be networking activities that assist in getting everyone talking to everyone. Women want events where there won’t be unwelcoming cliques of women all networking with whom they already know. “We want networking opportunities where we all feel welcome and encouraged to talk to each other. We have some fun activities to get women doing just that!” says Beth Boen, Founder of SHE Leads Group.

SHE Leads Group is different in many ways from other women’s networking groups. All the business owners in the organization are local, privately owned and operated businesses. They are well-established and not start-ups. They have built a business from the ground up and are not part of network marketing companies. They have invested their blood, sweat, and tears building a successful business. Most of these amazing women hold down two full-time jobs. One of our most successful members, Suzanne Mitchell, President of Zamar Screen Printing, Inc. started a business from the ground up nearly 26 years ago. While in her business she became a mom of two awesome boys. Not only did she grow a successful business, but she home-schooled her two boys, one who is now grown and married. The demands on women who typically are the primary caregiver to loved ones in the family, can make it difficult to get out and network. SHE Leads Group offers productive networking events that are during school hours and convenient for women. The trainings are so amazing and the business being passed and shared is phenomenal! I love this women’s networking group that is all about supporting one another.”

The SHE – Supporting Heart & Enterprise™ Women’s Business Expo & Networking Event which is celebrating National Women’s Small Business Month will have that supportive, giving spirit. There are 23 vendors, most of whom are non-competing businesses. These vendors offer something that can support a woman’s heart or enterprise, from personal care to business services. There will be valuable giveaways and drawings. It will be an event where women can feel comfortable and welcome networking with other women they have never met before.
