Non-Discrimination and Inclusion Policy

Purpose:
SHE Leads Group is built on the principles of professionalism, integrity, respect, and inclusivity. Our organization exists to empower women in business and provide a welcoming, supportive space where all eligible members and guests can thrive. This policy outlines the expectations of conduct regarding non-discrimination and inclusion within the SHE Leads Group community.

Scope: To be applied to all leadership, members, guests, and facilitators.

  1. Statement of Inclusion
    SHE Leads Group welcomes women from all backgrounds who meet our eligibility requirements. We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, color, national origin, religion, age, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, veteran status, political affiliation, or any other status protected by applicable laws.

    All members, guests, facilitators, and leadership are expected to treat one another with dignity and respect, regardless of personal views or life experiences.

  2. Business Conduct Expectations
    Members are expected to:
    • Maintain a professional demeanor at all SHE Leads Group events and within the SHE community.
    • Refrain from engaging in conversations or behaviors that could be perceived as discriminatory, exclusionary, or divisive.
    • Avoid expressing an unwillingness to do business with other members or guests based solely on personal or political beliefs.
    • Foster a spirit of collaboration, kindness, and mutual support, aligned with the mission of SHE Leads Group.

  3. Unacceptable Behavior Includes (but is not limited to):
    • Stating or implying that you will not do business with someone due to differing political, religious, cultural, or personal beliefs.
    • Attempting to recruit or pressure members or guests into specific ideological or political alignments.
    • Using SHE Leads Group events or communication channels to promote exclusionary or polarizing views.
    • Making discriminatory remarks, jokes, or gestures of any kind.

  4. Reporting & Accountability
    Members who experience or witness behavior that contradicts this policy are encouraged to report it to SHE Leads Group leadership in a confidential manner. Reports will be handled promptly and respectfully.

    Violations of this policy may result in the following:

      • A private conversation or written warning
      • Suspension of membership privileges
      • Revocation of membership if behavior is egregious or repeated

    SHE Leads Group leadership reserves the right to determine the appropriate course of action based on the severity of the violation.

  5. Ongoing Education & Awareness
    We are committed to ongoing education that supports respectful and inclusive communication. All members are encouraged to participate in discussions, training, and resources that help promote emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and inclusive leadership.

 

What does SHE stand for?

SHE is more than a leads group - SHE Leads Group exists to support women in business development roles. SHE Members are women in business who appreciate the role many women have being a full-time caregiver to loved ones and advancing their full-time career or business. The letters “S H E” stand for Supporting Heart & Enterprise ®. Heart is our families, or anything near and dear and personal to us. Enterprise is our business or career. Members are expected to uphold the values and culture for which SHE stands. Every member of SHE Leads Group should desire to be a resource to each other. SHE Leads Group is more than just a leads group. We are a group of supportive women who truly want to help others in any way possible.
