Denise Shannon a native of Denver, Colorado, is the Founder and CEO of Sassy Preacher Lady Ministries located in Thornton, Colorado. Denise is Certified Spiritual Director and an Ordained Minister who serves as a wedding officiant and memorial and celebration of life officiant. As an ordained minister, Denise creates customized and unique events to honor and celebrate life's pivotal moments. She specializes in taking people's stories and life experiences and weaving them into personalized and unique memorable events.

As a Certified Spiritual Director, she is dedicated to nurturing spiritual growth through discovery, creativity and connection. Denise is a compassionate and inspiring presence for those seeking to deepen their spiritual lives and celebrate the transformation that comes with personal growth.

Her deep passion lies in honoring the spirituality in each person by walking a journey of spiritual growth with them and doing so with love, compassion, and a presence of non-judgement. Her belief is that all individuals, regardless of their religious, non-religious, or philosophical beliefs, are on a journey of spiritual discovery and growth. Denise offers a variety of opportunities for individuals and groups to explore their spirituality, connect with one’s beliefs and values, discover new perspectives, and connect with others in meaningful ways.

As a Wedding and Celebration of Life Officiant, she is proud to create customized events that honor and celebrate each person’s unique love or life story. Whether it be big or small, fancy or simple, Denise will create just the right event for you.

Denise is an RN by background and earned her Master of Divinity (MDIV) degree from Iliff School of Theology. She is an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian (USA) church, a Hospice Chaplain, and a certified Soul Collage facilitator, as well as an established public speaker for workshops, retreats or conferences.

Married to Jerry, Denise is a proud mother to three children—Kelly, Allison, and Logan—and grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren, Cheyanne and Eli. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys the great outdoors, reading, cooking, hiking, and traveling.
