Meet the Volunteer Peer Mentors of SHE
The Peer Mentor program is offered to members of the YP chapter of SHE Leads Group on a 1st come/1st served basis.
What happens if no mentors are available?
Your name will be put on a wait list, and we will try to locate a mentor for you. Additionally, if there is a waitlist, after a member has had their peer mentor for 4 months, they will be asked to move to the wait list so another member can have a mentor.
Mentee Code of Conduct:
1) Your peer mentor is volunteering, so please be respectful of their time. Be prepared for your meetings with them to make the most of your time together. Show up on time for meetings. Give a 2-day business notice if cancelling a meeting.
2) If you find that your peer mentor is offering you a value, they would appreciate a recommendation on LinkedIn.
3) Follow the SHE Leads Group Code of Conduct in all matters.
4) Keep information shared confidential.
Mentor Code of Conduct:
1) Offer advice when asked. Unsolicited advice can be taken wrong. If there is an important piece of advice you believe you mentee needs, but is not asking for that advice, ask permission to give that advice.
2) Be prepared for your meetings with them to make the most of your time together. Show up on time for meetings. Give a 2-day business notice if cancelling a meeting.
3) If a mentee is asking for more time than you have agreed to volunteer for, be honest with them about the time commitment you are able to give.
4) Follow the SHE Leads Group Code of Conduct in all matters.
5) Keep information shared confidential.

What does SHE stand for?
SHE is more than a leads group - SHE Leads Group exists to support women in business development roles. SHE Members are women in business who appreciate the role many women have being a full-time caregiver to loved ones and advancing their full-time career or business. The letters “S H E” stand for Supporting Heart & Enterprise ®. Heart is our families, or anything near and dear and personal to us. Enterprise is our business or career. Members are expected to uphold the values and culture for which SHE stands. Every member of SHE Leads Group should desire to be a resource to each other. SHE Leads Group is more than just a leads group. We are a group of supportive women who truly want to help others in any way possible.
